Watercourse II - Brenda Wood

The allure of
Brisbane’s shapely
river, is a uniquely
artistic feature of
our city. It was while
looking at a squiggle
etched into an iron art
installation, that I
became intrigued with
what the shape
represented. Once
recognised, the shape
appears on bridges,
adorns buildings and
features on many art
installations including
footpaths. Nature
has created, so
effortlessly, a
watercourse with such
distinct, yet subtlety
iconic, properties.

• Various man-made
fabrics, printed
images, and
leftover art projects
that are breathed
new life hidden
amongst the
backdrop.

• Stitching, printing,
overpainting, lino
cutting & printing,
stamping.
